Our Story

Pokhara Mountain Camp & Homestay Tham Ghar is situated on top of the mountain ridge along with a Gurung village of Dandagaun, a 45-minute drive from Pokhara. Situated at an elevation of 1410 meters, it is nestled between tall hills, making it the perfect scenic camping spot. What makes this place special is that we have restored a 150-year-old traditional Gurung house a restaurant, offering the perfect blend of culture, camping, and nature. We made this camp with the vision of providing a memorable camping experience, so please join us in Tham Ghar!

To the south, you can see the city of Pokhara and Hemja below. And to the north, you can have a clear view of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountain range. It is also a great place to see the sunset and sunrise.

We can arrange a cultural dance performance by the local Gurung women’s community on advance request. Or you can also dance with your friends and family – we have speakers available!
